Slayers 2 Skill Tree Guide: Points, Categories and Resets

Slayers 2 replaced Project Slayers’ stat scaling with a skill tree. Ouw Productions explained it in the official Reaper Evil Art and Skill Tree Showcase (February 22, 2026); this page follows that video and what launch-day players show in the menu (open it with M > Skill Tree).

Skill points

  • You get 3 skill points at every level milestone (the developers’ wording).
  • Points are universal: any point can go into any category, so there are no locked class paths.
  • New nodes can be added to existing categories in future updates, so the tree grows over time.

The four categories

CategoryWhat it unlocksNotes from the official showcase
Breath / Evil ArtSkills 1 through 4 of your Breathing Style or Evil Art, and upgradesSome nodes add passives (the Reaper Dash was the example); some ask for a sacrifice elsewhere
WeaponWeapon skills 2 through 4There may be a cap on how many weapon skills you can equip at once
ClansClan-specific passives that can change your existing skills”Clans are meant to feel impactful, not cosmetic”
BodyPure passives: Double Jump, more damage, stamina, health, regenerationWhere the movement skills come from

Players on launch day unlock their breathing moves on the Slayer side of the tree (Kam’s TV unlocked his first Insect move for one skill point at zero mastery), so the in-game layout may split things differently from the showcase slides.

Mastery still matters

Using a Breathing Style or Evil Art raises its mastery, and the showcase says some skills require a mastery threshold before you can buy them with points. Ultimate moves are separate: they are scrolls that drop from Hashira and demon bosses at 5%, and only once your earlier moves are unlocked (see bosses).

What to buy first

  • Wall Climb and Double Jump from the Body side if you plan to become a demon: Destructoid notes you need both to reach Dr. Higoshima for Muzan’s quest (demon guide).
  • Your first style or art moves, so you are not stuck on M1 attacks for the Final Selection and the dungeon.

Resetting

  • SKILLTREERESET is a working code that refunds all your skill points. It applies the moment you redeem it, so use it when you actually want to respec. See codes.
  • The older code POINTSRESET has expired.
  • Resetting your Breathing Style itself is a different thing: in the August 2026 Q&A the developers said it would work like Project Slayers, by collecting ores and buying the reset.
