Slayers 2 Final Selection Guide: Every Step and Tip

Final Selection is the exam that makes you a Demon Slayer. You need it for the slayer-only quests from level 75 (Demon Slayer Goro and after) and for crow quests. The steps below follow syoct’s September 18 run, with the location and timer from SAGEz.

Where and when

• Where: from the bear area head east to the Butterfly Estate, cross the bridge, turn right and follow the path of shrines to the end of the road. There is a spawn crystal at the entrance.
• When: entry opens at the start of each hour and closes shortly after (Deepshaken and Captinttb both say on the hour). SAGEz arrived to a wait of almost two hours, so check the timer above the entrance. Plan on about an hour inside.
• Level: 45. Three guides (syoct, Deepshaken, Captinttb) give the same number.

The stages

The quest names below are the ones the game shows in the quest tracker.

1. Help Rem / Find Fruits. Rem asks for three fruits: an Apple (just to her right), a Banana and Grapes. The spots are the same every run.
2. Lesser Demons. Defeat five of them. Only demons named Lesser Demon count.
3. Find Nichirin Katana. A trainee says he dropped his Nichirin Katana. It lies along a straight path; walk it and bring the sword back.
4. Find Rika / Bandage. He is hurt, so go back to Rika near the start (she sits by the bandages) and buy one; Deepshaken paid 25 for it. Give it to him.
5. Submerged Key. Mizuto sends you into a river cave: dive near the red marker and swim down to the entrance, defeat the small boss inside and take the key back (Return to Mizuto).
6. Parkour dungeon. The key opens it. You have three hearts and a timer, and the spikes kill in one touch. Deepshaken’s route: go left first and pull the lever, go left again after the checkpoint (the first wall is climbable), and pull every lever you pass. Double jump and dash (Q) help most.
7. Capture The Point / Capture the Zone. Hold the point while demons pile in. syoct pulled the crowd away with a lap around the area, then came back to the point.
8. Defeat the Hand Demon. It summons extra demons and syoct saw it heal, so use your strongest moves on it and keep moving.

Tips

• Go with friends. Captinttb recommends a group; the parkour and capture stages are much easier with help.
• Bring a Breathing Style. syoct and SAGEz both unlocked one before entering.
• If you fail or leave, you wait for the next opening, so it is worth being a little over level 45.
