Slayers 2 Beginner Guide: Your First Hours, Step by Step

Slayers 2 drops you into a big open map with no tutorial telling you what matters. This is the order the launch-day guides (syoct, SAGEz, XenoTy and Kam’s TV) agree on, checked against what the game shows on screen.

1. Redeem codes and roll your clan

Before you spawn, the home screen has an Enter a code box. Join the Ouw Productions group first, then redeem RELEASE26 for 100 Wen, 30 spins and a Refinement Ore. Spins are what you roll clans with, and your clan decides your passives for the whole game.

The odds per spin are Common 60%, Uncommon 23%, Rare 12%, Legendary 4%, Mythic 0.9% and Supreme 0.1%. With 30 spins you are almost certain to see at least one Rare or better, and about 78% of players will hit a Legendary or better (1 - 0.95^30). The clans page lists all 41 clans and what the top ones do; syoct recommends Soyama for slayers and Kamado for demons if you are lucky enough to roll them.

Save SKILLTREERESET for later: it refunds your skill points the moment you redeem it.

2. Level 1-10 in the starter village

You start in the village at Windy Peak. Krue at the front gives the main early quests: a bandit hunt, then a boss quest against Zuko, whose Cutlass beats the starting sword (+1.4 Additional Damage). Lucy and Kazu in the village give more quests around level 10. Stay here until you reach it.

3. Level 10-26 at the bear area

Go down the slope and through the cave to the bamboo grove with the bears. Tom has you farm bears and then Mother Bear (525 HP). Repeat until level 26. Bears also drop Weak Souls, which matter later if you become a demon.

4. Decide: slayer or demon

  • Slayer: at level 25, visit a Breathing Style trainer. Most ask for Demon Horns, Beast Cores and a few thousand Wen, then give a six-step training quest. See Breathing Styles.
  • Demon: drop your reputation to -40 by defeating civilians, then find Muzan at night. Destructoid recommends turning early, because demon progression grows as you level. See how to become a demon.

5. Learn the menu and map

Press M for the menu. The parts you will use most:

  • Skill Tree: movement skills like Wall Climb and Double Jump (you need both for the demon quest), plus the moves for your Breathing Style or Evil Art.
  • Archives: every item in the game (399 at launch) with stats and where it drops. We copy it onto the items page.
  • Player Info / Progression: your stats and, as a demon, your progression bar.
  • Titles: unlockable titles with small stat buffs (listed on the items page).

Touch the purple spawn crystals as you pass them. They set your respawn point and, since the launch map update, let you fast travel.

6. What comes next

From level 26 the route moves to Chaka, then the demon cave behind the waterfall (Wagwan and the boss Hoyuzo), then the Final Selection from level 45. The full route to max level is in the leveling guide.
