Renjiro's opening line is "'Tai Chi' is not something I hand over. Earn it", and accepting starts The Tai Chi Trial. Builderboy could not start Kazuma's or Zurinyz's quest on camera because he already owned a style, so we only list their level requirement for now.
The Tai Chi Trial
The community Project Slayers wiki has a player's notes for the trial (September 22): at least 5 Beast Cores, one of the levers inside the house next to Renjiro, a scroll in the water to the left of him, and a timed trainee fight in a hidden cave where a Water Breathing potion (bought at the docks for 6 Demon Horns) helps you reach the end. The same area holds the Firstlight Mask schematic. We have not seen these steps on video yet, so treat them as reported.
Which style fits your build
- Soryu + Shockwave: Destructoid's S-tier demon pick; Soryu's moves keep hyper armor and pair with Shockwave counters.
- Reaper: also the name of a demon art, which is why search results mix them up. The fighting style is the one taught by Zurinyz.

How do you get Soryu in Slayers 2?
Soryu is the demon fighting style. Find Soryu Expert Kazuma by the harbor at level 65 or higher and take his quest. Destructoid pairs it with the Shockwave Evil Art because Soryu moves have hyper armor.
How do you get Tai Chi?
Tai Chi is for slayers. Reach level 65, go to the Hidden Mist Village and climb onto the house where Tai Chi Expert Renjiro stands. He starts "The Tai Chi Trial". The community wiki says the trial needs at least 5 Beast Cores and a Water Breathing potion from the docks (6 Demon Horns) to get through the trainee fight in time.
What level is the Reaper fighting style?
Level 100. Harvester of Souls Zurinyz is in the snow area, so you need an Emberheart Lantern or campfire stops to survive the cold on the way.
